What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a branch of rehabilitative health care that uses specially designed exercises and modalities to help patients regain or improve their maximal functional levels. Physical therapists work with many types of patients including those suffering from sciatica, the after effect of various injuries, strokes, amputations, sporting injuries and balance disorders.
Most people who seek care in our office have one goal-RELIEF. That's where we start! During the initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
Design a specific treatment plan for each patient
Educate patients on home exercise programs to help facilitate recovery
Explain the value of post-symptomatic wellness care
